What is the Antichrist?
He is someone who will push himself to the forefront of world politics and he will become a powerful leader on the world stage. Currently as we write this, the Antichrist is not known to the world but when the time comes, this person will appear charismatic, will be good-looking, have a silver tongue, promise great things, make amazing things happen and all this will seduce the people of the world to follow him. He will form a World Government and from his position as leader of this World Government he will cynically broker a false and temporary peace in the middle-east which at least for the time being, will protect Israel. He will appear to be the only one able to achieve peace and prosperity, which at the time will appear permanent. However it will be temporary and will only serve to lull the people of the world into a false sense of security and give the Antichrist a good approval rating.
Who is the False Prophet?
This will be the person who will trick people into worshipping the Antichrist. He will be likable, intelligent and plausible. He will be able to perform feats which appear to be miracles including, for example, making fire reign down onto the Earth. However during the second 3½ years of the Tribulation period, the False Prophet will build an image of the Antichrist and force people to worship this image by threatening them with violence and death. He will impose the economic power of the Antichrist by forcing people to take the mark of the beast on, or in their body. We will write more about this later.
